SHAKE, RATTLE, AND ROLL:  MORE RAIN AND STORMS TODAY
The National Weather Service says Friday will be a soaker at the Jersey
Shore.  More rain, showers, and thunderstorm activity is in the forecast
after a wild early morning line of storms brought power outages to the
region.  Some communities in Cape May County saw outages last for
more than two hours overnight due to lightning strikes in the region.
The rain and storms should last for most of the day, before we get into
a dry pattern for Saturday.

EVANS CAUGHT UP IN BRIBERY SCHEME IN ATLANTIC CITY?
The mayor of Atlantic City may be caught up in a bribery scheme in
Atlantic City.  Today's Press of Atlantic City reports that David Tayoun
was issued a subpeona by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office
on Thursday.  That subpeona allegedly is looking for information about
an alleged bribe that Evans gave to Tayoun in order for Evans to
secure Tayoun's political backing.  Tayoun alleges that Evans offered
a previous director's job back to Tayoun in exchange for help with
Evans' campaign.  Evans has denied that he's done anything wrong.

TWO ARRESTED FOR TEEN'S DEATH UNDER AC PIER
Two men who lived at the Atlantic City Rescue Mission have been
arrested and charged with the murder of a teenager under The Pier
at Caesars in late April.  19 year old Joseph John Frankowski of
Somers Point was found dead under the pier back on April 25th.
36 year old Jerry Soto and 27 year old Wayne Hoffman have both
been charged in connection with the case; Soto was hit with
murder charges.  Frankowski died of multiple blunt force trauma
injuries.

SEA ISLE CITY TRIES TO BUY OUT EMPLOYEES
Sea Isle City officials want to reduce the city's workforce, and now
is making a cash offer to all city employees.  Sea Isle City is offering
each city employee $1,000 for each year that person worked for city
government in exchange for resigning his or her job.  That
announcement was made during an AARP meeting Thursday
afternoon.  The city is hopeful employees take advantage of the
buyout offer, and their positions could be replaced by part time or
seasonal employees.

FORMER CORRECTIONS OFFICIAL FESSES UP IN SEX CASE
A former corrections official with Cape May County was in court on
Thursday and admitted to a judge that he fondled a female inmate
against her will three years ago.  Thomas Koochembere was in court
on Thursday and offered an admission to a judge on his sentencing
date.  In return for the confession, Koochembere will get only eight
years in prison instead of a much longer term.  He initially told the
court that he was raped by two inmates at the jail.  Koochembere
admitted in court that he lied.

AC MAN TO GET LONG PRISON TERM ON DRUG CHARGES
An Atlantic City man will be spending the next 18 years of his life in
prison thanks to serious drug charges.  44 year old Kenneth Floyd was
in court on Thursday and admitted to being in possession of 7,740 bags
of herion with the intent to distribut the drugs.  Floyd must serve at
least eight years of the prison sentence before becoming eligible
for parole.

TEEN CHARGED WITH KILLING NEWBORN WAS A MOM BEFORE
A 14 year old girl from Cumberland County who was charged this week
with killing her newborn last weekend had been pregnant before.
Authorities have learned that the teenage girl also was pregnant while
she was in seventh grade.  The teenager gave birth over the weekend
and left her baby to die in a toilet.  She has been charged with murder;
authorities are trying to determine if she'll be tried as a juvenile, or as
an adult.

MCCAIN TO VISIT GARDEN STATE TODAY DURING CAMPAIGN SWING
Presumed republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain will be
making a campaign stop in New Jersey today.  McCain is expected to
deliver an address on the environment this morning.  His appearance
was first scheduled for Sandy Hook, but it was moved to the Liberty
Science Center in Jersey City instead.  McCain has been endorsed by
former New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean.
