The first of two casinos closed this Labor Day weekend. Showboat Casino shut its doors on Sunday. Revel Casino will be closed on Tuesday. By the end of the month, Atlantic City will be down to 8 casinos. Trump Plaza will also be shutting its doors for good by the middle of the month. A recent report by Fitch Ratings suggests that a majority of the business from the closed casinos should stay in Atlantic City and not be lose. It also predicts no other casinos will close for the next two years.
