SENTENCING DAY FOR MEDICAL DUMPING DENTIST

A Pennsylvania dentist who admitted he threw hundreds of pieces of medical debris into the ocean nearly two years ago was sentenced today. Thomas McFarland got four year’s probation for the actions he took. He also presented the borough with a $100,000 fine that was assessed for expenses the borough paid for during the days of the clean up. Beaches were shut down at periods in Avalon as a result of the medical debris.
