REPORT: STATE WILL TAKE IN LESS MONEY FROM MAJOR TOLL ROADS

70px-New_Jersey_Turnpike_Shield_svgA new report says that the state’s Turnpike Authority is expecting a major dip in revenue this year. The Star-Ledger reports that the group that oversees the Parkway and Turnpike could see up to a $55 million drop compared to 2010. Economic factors, including slowed employment, higher gas prices, and Hurricane Irene all are being blamed on the downtrend. Gas prices were about $1 less per gallon last year compared to this year.
