LOWER CAPE MAY AND MIDDLE GIRLS ADVANCES IN STATE PLAYOFFS

basketball_clipartTwo local teams advanced on Thursday in the state basketball playoffs. Middle Township girls beat Haddonfield 47-30 and Lower Cape May Regional defeated Sterling 71-61. Lauren Holden scored 41 points in the win for Lower Cape May. If the two teams win on Saturday they would face in the South Jersey Group II Finals. Middle Township will visit Deptford and Lower Cape May Regional will go to Cedar Creek.

Wildwood Catholic boys lost at Trenton Catholic 53-45; both George Cook and Eddie McWade fouled out of the game. Wildwood Catholic girls were blown out 77-45 against St. Rose. Also, Middle Township 54-31. All three teams are eliminated from the playoffs.
