LONIONDO WILS AWARD FROM NATIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

U.S. Representative Frank A. LoBiondo (NJ-02) was presented today with the “Spirit of Enterprise” award for his strong voting record on critical business issues in the second session of the 111th Congress. Tom Donohue, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, presented LoBiondo with the award at a Capitol Hill ceremony.

“I am pleased to accept the Chamber’s ‘Spirit of Enterprise’ award and honored to work with their members in strengthening our local and national economy,” said LoBiondo. “Given that small businesses are the engine of our economy, we must continue to put forth policies that will give them confidence to hire and invest. I remain committed to working with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and South Jersey chapters to grow our economy and get our families back to work.”

In its 23rd year, the Chamber’s “Spirit of Enterprise” award is given annually to members of Congress based on rankings it gives for key business votes outlined in its yearly publication, How They Voted. Those members of Congress who support the Chamber’s position on at least 70% of those votes receive the award. LoBiondo compiled a 88 percent score with the Chamber last year.

“The Chamber is honored to recognize Representative LoBiondo for helping create an environment in which businesses can grow and create jobs,” said Tom Donohue, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber. “He has shown great conviction by standing on the side of business, at a time when it matters most. Today we honor him.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
