The U.S. Senate passed a delay to flood insurance hikes. The bill that was sponsored by U.S. Senator Robert Menendez would delay implementation by four years. The House of Representatives would still need to vote on the matter before receiving consideration from President Barack Obama. Congressman Frank LoBiondo already came out in support on the bill. The White House did caution that any changes to current law could hurt FEMA’s ability to pay out in future disasters.
