CUMBERLAND COUNTY MAN SENTENCED FOR CONSPIRACY TO SET FIRE TO VEHICLE

A man will be placed in state prison for conspiring to set his aunt’s automobile on fire so she could collect insurance proceeds. The State’s Attorney General’s Office announced that Kristopher Wynder, of Vineland, was given five years in jail for his guilty plea to second-degree conspiracy to commit aggravated arson. In pleading guilty, Wynder admitted that between July 28 and Aug. 4, 2008, he conspired with his aunt, Cheryl Wynder, to obtain her 2002 Ford Explorer, take it to a remote location in Vineland, and set fire to the vehicle so that Cheryl Wynder could collect insurance proceeds for the vehicle.
