COMPROMISE TO REVIVE “GOOD SAMARITAN” BILL HEADS TO CHRISTIE’S DESK

A compromise was struck to revive the “Good Samaritan” bill. Lawmakers approved the measure based of the conditional veto of Gov. Chris Christie last year. The measure would allow someone to report a drug overdose case without the fear of being arrested for drug possession. Stories have come out of people who died because no one wanted to call police to report the emergency. The legislation now goes to Gov. Chris Christie to be signed off on.
