CHRISTIE WANTS TO CUT TOURISM PROMOTION FUNDING FROM “SANDY”

Chris ChristieDespite a lackluster year at the Jersey Shore, Governor Chris Christie wants to cut the state’s tourism promotion budget using Hurricane Sandy federal dollars from $25 million last year to just $5 million this year.  The Associated Press reports that the same company, MWW, has a three year contract to handle the tourism promotional efforts.   Last year’s campaign was widely criticized for starting too late after summer vacations had already been booked.
