BIG BROTHER WATCHING IN CAPE MAY COUNTY

More traffic cameras will be springing up throughout Cape May County in the near future. The county received Federal Grant money to provide Automated License Plate Recognition systems for seven local police departments, through the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. The cameras are able to capture the license plate numbers of passing vehicles at speeds of up to 160 miles per hour and can capture up to 3,600 reads per minute.
