ATLANTIC CITY HOPES FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE BUSINESS BOOST

After the destruction and loss of business from October’s Hurricane Sandy, Atlantic City has seen two consecutive months of record-low gambling revenues. Resort officials are hoping for big business this New Year’s Eve, traditionally the busiest day of the year for the casinos. The Press of Atlantic City quoted Jeff Guaracino, chief strategy officer for the Atlantic City Alliance, who said that potential visitors have a “misconception that our Boardwalk is destroyed”. Guaracino added that the alliance would study the extent of those misconceptions in the new year.
