ASSEMBLY TACKLES MINIMUM WAGE BILL ON MONDAY

The New Jersey Assembly meets on Monday and is expected to consider legislation that will increase the state’s minimum wage to $8.50 an hour.  The New Jersey Senate approved the new minimum wage on Thursday; now, it’s the Assembly’s turn on Monday.  The vote has largely been down party lines with democrats supporting the increase and republicans opposing it.  Governor Chris Christie has promised a veto shall the bill appear on his desk.
