Itinerary
DAY 1 USA - SHANNON
Fly transatlantic overnight to Shannon Ireland. Dinner is served and in-flight entertainment is provided.
DAY 2 ARRIVE IN SHANNON IRELAND
Welcome to Ireland. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to Killarney where you have some free time to rest. Your afternoon is at leisure to explore bustling Killarney. The town on the lakes is famous for its lively pubs and open, cheerful atmosphere, full of what the Irish call “craic!” – Gaelic for fun. Join the CBS Morning Crew for a Pint as they broadcast live from a Pub in the town. Tonight you will enjoy dinner in your hotel. (B, D)
DAY 3 KILLARNEY – BLARNEY – KILLARNEY
After a leisurely breakfast, you may choose to stay local and join the Crew as they broadcast at 12pm from another of Killarney’s wonderful Pubs. Perhaps enjoy a jaunting car ride out towards the famous Killarney Lakes. Or, you may choose to join the rest of the group on the coach as they travel southeast towards County Cork for an optional visit to Blarney Castle with its magical stone that gives the gift of eloquence for a kiss. There is also time to stop at Blarney Woollen Mills to shop before returning to Killarney for dinner and a night on the town. (B, D)
DAY 4 THE RING OF KERRY
Travel the road that winds around the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, better known as The Ring of Kerry. It is undoubtedly one of the most magical places in all Ireland. Here mountains, valleys, lakes and sea blend into a landscape that is often breathtaking beyond words. A number of stops will allow you to marvel at the spectacular scenery; walk around the colorful village of Sneem and pause at Moll's Gap for amazing views of the Lakes of Killarney. Later the motorcoach will return you to Killarney, where the balance of the day is free. If you prefer, rather than touring the Ring, you may choose to hang out with the Morning Crew as they broadcast live from another of Killarney’s famous “watering holes” (Pubs)!! Tonight you enjoy dinner at your hotel. (B, D)
DAY 5 KILLARNEY – CLIFFS OF MOHER – LIMERICK
You depart from Killarney early this morning, and travel towards Limerick. You pause to visit the Cliffs of Moher, stretching almost five miles and over 700 feet above the Atlantic Coast: a magical vista awaits you. Afterwards, you check-in to your hotel and then join the Crew as they broadcast live from a famous local drinking establishment. You might consider taking a stroll through the Bunratty Folk Park. Tonight, why not join the Morning Crew as they attend an optional farewell Medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle. Tonight you are free to explore some of Limerick’s many lively pubs. (B)
DAY 6 DEPART SHANNON
Farewell to Shannon and Ireland. Transfer to Shannon airport, where after check-in you will have plenty of time for your last minute duty free shopping. Your flight to the US arrives the same day. (B)
